CAMPaign '07 update - Honor our past, assure our future - American Camping Association
CAMPaign '07 definitely had a "peak experience" at the 2003 ACA National
Conference in Denver. We collected $249,367.00 in pledges and contributions.
Thanks to all conference attendees for your generous support of CAMPaign '07.
The total amount pledged and contributed as of March 24, 2003, is $1,444,718.00
from 557 donors. Without good friends like you, we wouldn't be so
successful.
We still need $3,555,282.00 in order to reach our final goal of
$5,000,000.00. That's a huge sum, which is why we need many more committed
members, sections, individuals, and many more dollars to move us closer to our
final goal. Only you can make that happen. Please take a moment now and fill out
the enclosed pledge envelope today. Together, we can make a difference!
CAMPaign'07--I Believe Even More
Your "I Believe" contribution will support CAMPaign '07: "Honor Our Past,
Assure Our Future." When you contribute to "I Believe," you are saying "I
Believe Even More," and you are ensuring that the children and adults of today,
and tomorrow, all have the opportunity to have a safe, positive camp
experience--an experience whose value will be understood and considered an
essential asset in human development. CAMPaign '07--I Believe Even More is about
supporting those making choices about camp. It is about camp staff and camp
professionals.
Testimonial:
The camp experience is necessary for every child and adult to promote better
understanding of the people of the nation and of the world, and the marvelous
benefits of outdoor education.
The professionals interacting in the camp experience contribute greatly to
children, youth education, and development through the different educational and
recreational activities developed in a fun environment, where the spirit of camp
can be felt and is unforgettable for everyone. They will not forget what was
learned in a well-organized camp. I think the success of the camp can be seen
when the participants become better persons when they return home.
As a camp professional, I am very proud to be a member of the American
Camping Association, for the high standards for the camp operation it promotes
and assures in every camp accredited. Also for the excellent opportunities
offered for the education and trainings I received, which helped me to improve
many camps in Puerto Rico. Thanks to ACA and the friends I got there!
